Enjoy the Technologies available to you

Hello. It is my pleasure to welcome you to How Can I Make It A Better World?

Under the guise of making it a better world, I really enlist my suggestions to our self-improvement, on the basis that if we can improve ourselves, the world we encounter will be a better world for us.

You may find many empowering suggestions in my blog entries starting from the first ones in Nov.2009. You may find your time doing so was well spent.

A Joke: A frail elderly gentleman was picking his way carefully along the dark alleys of the city where he lived.

Regrettably, his worst fears were soon realised.

A mob of un ruly youths soon came upon him, and set about robbing him of his possessions.

The man put up a brave fight, but was soon laid to dust on the pavement. One of the youths extracted from his pocket a wallet. It contained only one £5.00 note. Snatching that £5.00 note from the wallet, the youth threw back the wallet at the man laid on the pavement, saying in disdain, as the mob was walking away, "Silly old fool! To think he took so much beating for a measley £5.00."

Hearing this, the man, shouts back, "Fool! Whom do you call a fool? You,too, would put up a fight if you had a bundle of £1,000 hidden in your inner pocket."

Enjoy the Technologies available to you:

I had a five day stay at Dubai early this year.

I was amazed to see how Dubai has used all the lated technolgical advances to make their world a wonderful place to live in. The trains were ultramodern. The station platform clocks were large tv screens, pleasant to look at. The stations were spacious. All ticketing was automised. The sysrtems ran smoothly.

The road were wide, at some places six lanes each way. Wonderful 40, 50, 60 story buildings, and superb shopping malls.

Every one had mobiles.

Every one had wonderful civic sense.

There was no abject poverty, say, as in Mumbai.

All seemed to me to be living a harmonious contented life.

The message I picked up was that to make our world a better place, we might as well start to use the comforts technology gives us. Mobile phones, large tv's big cars, lovely house, all things do go to make our world a nicer place to live in. You should indulge in as many of these luxuries as you can comfortably afford to make it a nicer world for you.

And, of course, follow the rules of the nation you are living in to make your day to day living smooth and pleasant.

Wishing you every happiness, Shree-1
