Hello! Welcome to "How Can I Make It A Better World?"
All world one happy family.
When I look at my face in the mirror, alas, it is truly my face that I see in the mirror. Just as my face is.
If I were to shave off my hair, the mirror will show e with a bald pate.
If I were to let my hair grow long, the mirror will show me with long scraggy hair up to my shoulders.
The reflection in the mirror is not the me.
The real me is the one outside the mirror. The me within the mirror is only a reflection of the me that is standing before the mirror.
Is that not easy to understand?
What if I now say that my own body is the mirror. The true me is my mind.
The image I have in my mind is reflected in my body.
The image in my mind of being a sick person will be reflected with a body that is sick and weak.
If the image in my mind is that of me as a king, living in a palace, that is what the mirror, my body, will reflect.
You cannot believe that can you?
The proof of the pudding is in trying it out.
If you are ill, carry on with your doctor's treatment, but help him get you better by having an image of a radiantly healthy you in your mind.
Let us do this experiment together. Let us find out if there is any truth in the saying that our body is the mirror that reflects the real us that is in our mind. Let us make that real us the way we want ourselves to be - happy, healthy and wealthy.
Wishing you joy, abundance in the New Year, Shree-1

Hallucinations: A give Away Clue
Welcome to "how Can I Make It A Better World"
All World One Happy Family.
Here is an improved version of my reasoning that the illness of Hallucinating, seeing something that is not there, is a clue that our mind does that all the time.
Except that normally what the mind projects is in fine tune with what the projections of Universal Intelligence.
Only when substances we call hallucinogenics, or some other factors, upset that balance, when the mind carries on its duty of projecting images out in space, out of alignment with the projections of Universal Mind, does it appear as a hallucination.
The lesson for us is simple.
Our life is first perceived in our mind. It is then projected out in our space, to be picked on by our senses and be reported to our brain as an experience occurring to our body by external events.
So if I imagine a pleasant world, the world I meet will be pleasing to me.
Here is my revised reasoning that leads me to above conclusions.
I accept that the objects I see are really only my thoughts of the objects in my mind.
In that sense, I accept that things are thoughts.
But do I create my own objects? Do I make my own reality?
Every night, when dreaming, I do create my own world, admittedly of dreams, visible and experienced only by me.
Nevertheless, my mind does project objects that appear to my dreaming state that are outside of me.
So the mind CAN project its own images of objects out to the external world, that I subsequently interpret through my senses as being outside of me.
Can the mind projects images out when in a waking state?
When someone is hallucinating, he reports of experiencing things which do not really exist outside of his mind, though he may be in wide awake.
We have heard of the joke, where a patient says, "Doctor, I keep on seeing flying trains all the time."
The Doctor asks, "Have you seen any psychiatrists?"
"No! Only flying trains."
Can it be that such 'illnesses' reveal that mind CAN also, when awake, project images out, which are subsequently perceived as being observed
by our senses as being outside?
I am beginning to agree with Sir Fred Hoyle, the astro-physicisist, and even James Jean ("It looks as if all world is one big thought.") that there is a Universal Intelligence pervading all Universe.
Mout Everest is an idea of the Universal Intelligence that has become a thing.
We are a fractal part of that Intelligence.
So my Mind draws on that Intelligence and sees Mount Everest as, indeed, do all mankind.
In that situation, mind's 'projections' of the ideas are in fine tune with the projections of the Universal Mind.
When this alignment is out of synch, for any reason, my mind, nevertheless, as a headless chicken continues to romp around for a few moments, because it is the nature of muscles to contract and cause movement, continues to project ideas, images into space, which the senses pick up and report as existing outside the body.
This illness, hallucinating, hints that the mind continually picks thoughts from the Universal Intelligence, mixes them with further ideas due to localised activity of my piece of the mind, and, in tune with the Universal Mind's images, projects these in space to be reported back to the mind by bodily senses as being outside the body.
Hallucinogenic substances can also knock out my mind's activities from being in tune with the activities of the Universal Mind.
I am beginning to accept that this may be a truer representation of the true nature of all Universe and life.
It seems my Mind has drawn from the infinite ideas of the Intelligence ideas of my hut and my rustic wreck of a car.
Had I been thinking otherwise, I might have drawn from the same treasure trove of ideas, a palace with gardens and maids and servants.
I should change what I hallucinate about.
It looks as if we, even 'sane' people are hallucinating all the time.
Wish you all joy and abundance.

Imagine being an atom in a sponge.
Hello! Welcome to "How Can I Make It A Better World?"
All world one happy family.
I imagine I am an atom at the inner edge of a huge sponge.
I see all around me other atoms like me.
Though apart from me, I can readily accept that they are all connected with me and with each other by being a part of the same large sponge.
I can also see tiny electrons whizzing all around me.
To my surprise I find that I as an atom, can also move freely around within that sponge.
Incredibly I have the ability to capture electrons to add colour and comfort to my life as an atom.
All I need do next is decide on what type of electrons from all the ones I see around me, will give me pleasure, and capture just those.
I am going to be the happiest atom in that sponge.
What happens if I change around a few words in the above story?
The atom is me, my name, my body, my soul.
The sponge is the Universe I live in.
Other atoms are all the other people and things I see around me.
Electrons are the events that happen to me and to others.
I just need to decide what events I need happen to me to make me happy.
Those events are already around me in the Universe. All I need do is capture them with my feelings and actions.
I will then be the happiest man on this earth.
Wishing you joy and abundance, Shree-1

My Beliefs Make My World Better.
Welcome to "How can I make It A Better World?"
All world one happy family.
One simple way I can make my world better is by my changing my belief as to how my world is to a feeling that the world is essentially full of love, goodwill and willingness to be helpful to me in every way.
With that attitude I will find my world a much better place to live in, full of love and understanding.
Try it out for yourself.

Hating your Job makes for a dull life
Hello! Welcome to "How Can I Make It A Better World?"
All life one happy family.
All life one happy family.
Do you feel a square pin in a round plug?
Do you hate your job?
"How Can I Make It A Better World?"
All world one happy family.
One way I can make it a better world is if I tell others of mistakes I made with my life, hoping that will prevent others falling into the same traps.
I know that in many aspects I did not like my job, my career.
Yet I stuck with it, till retirement, because I it provided for my mortgage.
Today, the mortgage is not yet paid off in full, by my boss said I had reached retirement age, and has to let me go.
Now I know, with time on my hands, that the root cause of my not liking my job was because I hated my own very self, for all my shortcomings.
I should have learnt to love myself, as I was, including my bad habits.
That is not to say that I would have loved the bad habits.
But love me, including the bad habits.
That way, I would have been able to overcome my bad habits, enjoyed my job, would have made great progress in my career, and would have had an easy life of joy and fun.
Lesson in all this? Just love yourself, not in an arrogant way, but with humility, as if the self is a pious being I respect and honour, not belitte and hate.
Try that out if you feel like a square pin in a round hole.
Wishing you joy and abundance. Shree-1

Tribute to John Lennon, Wisher of a Peaceful World
Hello! Welcome to "How Can I Make It A Better World/"
All World One Happy Family.
As someone wishing to make the world a better place for us to live in, I hope you will join me in remembering John Lennnon.
His "Give Peace a Chance" is even today worth listening to.
"I want to see you, Lord" is pure ecstasy.
I 'swinging sixtees' were my teenage days.
May be the inspiration for this blog has its roots in the songs of John Lennon, and the flower power that saw San Francisco being sung about.
Wishing you joy and abundance.
