My Daily [New Age] Prayer.
This, my prayer, asks God for what we all ask for, a life of ease, joy and happiness.
I imagine you, too would want for yourself a life of unending happiness.
So, whatever your age, colour or creed, please feel free to pray with me now.

This is my prayer today to you, my Lord.

God, I know You are not up above in a distant haven.
God, I know you are very close to me, within my own very soul, at the very centre of my being.
So close, that in effect, I myself am You, the God I am praying to.
I am that, I am.

Your essence is a Consciousness, a Mind, an ability to be aware, an ability to think.
This is the same consciousness, the mind, ability to think, that I have.
You are that same thinking, feeling Mind in me.
In effect, I myself is the God I am praying to.
You are the thinking, feeling Mind in every human being.
Each person is the same God that You are, that I am.

No wonder Science has not found You, God.
You are a Consciousness, a thought. No microscope or weighing scales of Science has yet been able to measure a thought, only seen its effects.

The mystery of how a nebulous non-material thought arising in my mind becomes material protons and ions in my brain cells that draws waves on a graph paper is as bewildering as how the universe arose from nothing ages ago.

As water condenses from a cloud of vapour, so does my body and things of my world condense from my thoughts.
As I think so I become.

You, God are a Consciousness. You hold thoughts of every possibilities that my life can be.
I can draw out from this amorphous blob of images within Your Mind, the health, the wealth and the joy I pray for.
I make happen the life I want by FEELING the joys of my good health and wealth even though these are not in my life now.
My good feelings will crystallise from Your Consciousness the stuff I am feeling good about.
In that sense You help me get what my heart is yearning for.
I will act as guided, inspired, by You.

I am not a victim of Your whims, of any pre-determined fate, karma.
It is my choice what I think out for myself, to plan the life I want to live.
I will do what I love doing, so long as my acts do not hurt or harm another.
To harm another is to harm You and myself.

Because You help me create my life based on my thoughts, I will keep my thoughts full of love, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness.
I will not blame, criticise, find faults with myself, others, things or events.
I will not blame the weather, the late train,or my lack of a skill or resources.
I will not judge others, things, events with words of anger such as horrible, terrible, disgusting, miserable.
I will look for beauty, joy, love, enchantment, miracle, nice feelings in all that happens to me.
I will be grateful NOW for all my past, my present and my future.
Ever mindful that my feelings are responsible for creating my world, I will love wholeheartedly myself, all people,things and events that come into my life.

This life emerges afresh each moment through the portal of my own mind, arising from the Consciousness that You, God, are, much as a fountain emerges afresh each moment from its source.
Since my mind, my awareness, is the nozzle through which flows this stream of my life, I will at each moment remain mindful, remain aware, of my actions.
Whether cutting vegetables, going down the stairs, or crossing the road, I will keep my full attention to my action.
That way I know that any accident due to my absent mindedness will not be blamed on to Your lack of love for me.

Since You, God, and me are one and the same, by not blaming You, I will not blame myself either for my inattention which caused the seemingly unsavoury happening.

From within that acceptance, not fighting against that which is, will I act to make my situation flow naturally to a different state.
I will know that my new desired outcome already exists in Your Mind, waiting for me to draw it out into my life, with guidance, inspiration, from You followed by my actions.

My religion was founded in antiquity to formulate rules and regulations to enable man to live in harmony with each other in social groups.
My religion's teachings may have been construed to provide opium for the masses.
Its dictates may not be relevant in this time when all world is one global village.

Today my country's government provides that framework for society to function harmoniously.
I am, therefore, free to recognise you, my Lord, as you truly are, as my own Mind, my own true self.
God, You are not in any way apart from who I am.
I am sorry that I did not hitherto see You right there within my own self.
Please forgive me for having ignored Your presence within me.

As in a dream at night, my thoughts, feelings, seep out from within my soul, my mind, my heart. These thoughts and feelings become my world that appears to be outside of me.
In effect, there is nothing outside of me.
The solid world I see has essentially the same fluid nature as the nature of a thought.
It has substance much as the substance of the world of my dreams when I am asleep.
My solid looking world depends for its formation on the thoughts, beliefs and feelings that I have!

Since my world emanates from my own mind, when I am at peace with myself, all my world will be at peace.
I will be naturally at peace with myself when I am aware of the stillness, laden with infinite power and potentiality, that is at the root of my life.

When every person who joins me in these prayers, feels that peace within himself, all our combined world will be at peace.
The reign of peace the world over that I am praying for is here, now, because of everyone joining me in this, my daily prayer.

When thoughts of hatred, revenge, resentment, suffering, harming and hurting another, arise in our minds, we shall convert these to thoughts of love, forgiveness, acceptance, healing, caring and comforting others.
With beautiful enchanting thoughts emanating from our minds You, God will be at peace. Our very Earth which also emerges from You, will be at peace.
There will be no so called natural disasters.
